CHEF JOHNNY

Johnny started cooking as a teenager growing up on Molokai learning family recipes from his Uncle George and his Grandma Koa.  He learned to prepare Hawaiian food and other local dishes the same way it was done generations ago.  Johnny worked at several Hawai`i bars and restaurants, starting out at the well-known Pau Hana Inn on the Friendly Isle of Molokai.  Most recently, he served as the head cook at Waiahole Poi Factory on the windward side of O`ahu.

His favorite food to cook?  Authentic Hawaiian food.

“Life is all about creating moments. Growing up in Hawai`i has always been about sharing good food with family and friends. I enjoy making people happy and watching them create their own moments.”
